Just days after Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor congratulated her cousin brother Mohit Marwah on his upcoming movie “Raag Desh,” a reliable source close to the industry has confirmed that a South Indian actress has been roped in to do the female lead role in it.
South Indian actress Mrudula Murali, who was last seen in “Ayaal Njan Alla” and “Shikhamani,” will play the role of a real life character in the upcoming period drama. With the latest news, seems like Mrudula is all set to make a mark in Bollywood as the upcoming film is the directorial venture of Tigmanshu Dhulia, who has whelmed the critically acclaimed films “Paan Singh Tomar” and “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster,” among others.
Now, the South Indian entertainment industry can be proud as another actress is stepping to the Hindi entertainment industry joining the league of talented actresses like Asin, Sreedevi and Trisha, among others.
It is understood that “Raagdesh” will be based on the Indian National Army trials (INA trials), which has already drawn national attention through out the country. The socially-committed movie is also rumored to have Kunal Kapoor, many other biggies and foreign actors apart from renowned crew members. The team is said to have been doing the pre -production works of the movie for more than a year. The source has also confirmed that the film will go on floors by the end of this month.
