Exclusive – Why Actor Vijay’s GOAT satellite rights shifted from Star Vijay to Zee

Actor Vijay’s ‘GOAT’ (Greatest Of All Time) has been one of the much anticipated films of 2024 in Tamil cinema. While the shooting of this film is already completed, with few patch works pending, the postproduction work is simultaneously happening. Recently, there was a buzz stating that the film’s satellite rights has been acquired by Star Vijay for a whopping price of Rs. 90Cr. Since, the satellite rights of Vijay’s previous film LEO was sold for a bigger price of Rs.110Cr, the producers of AGS Entertainment wanted something more than this number or at least the same figure. So it looks like the deal wasn’t locked, and now the official announcement has been made that Zee has acquired the satellite rights of the movie in 5 different languages.

GOAT features Vijay in dual roles, and is directed by Venkat Prabhu with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music.
