Here’s the real reason behind Kaappan release postponed to September 20
The official announcement involving the theatrical release of Kaappaan has been made and it will be hitting screens on September 20. Initially, the film was supposed to get released on August 30 and is now postponed due to couple of reasons. The first one is that the post production works are getting delayed and even if the team is able to work day and night, it’s not possible to get the works completed. The other reason is that Suriya film producers always want to encash with the Telugu dubbed versions as he has got good market in Telugu speaking territories. Unfortunately, Prabhas’ Saaho that was supposed to hit screens on August 15 has been postponed to August 30, which gave no options but to push the release to a later date for Kaapppan.
Directed by KV Anand, the film has Pan-Indian actors in lead roles including Mohanlal, Boman Hirani, Suriya, Arya and Sayyesha. Harris Jayaraj has composed music for this film, which is produced by Lyca Productions.
