Jayam Ravi’s next ‘Genie’ shoot kick starts

Genie, the 25th production venture of Vels Film International, is a much-awaited film starring Jayam Ravi in the lead role. The film, which is directed by Arjunan JR, has an ensemble cast of Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Devayani. The film’s pooja ceremony was held today in Chennai with the presence of many celebrities from the industry.

The film is a fantasy adventure that will showcase Jayam Ravi in a never-seen-before avatar. The film has music by the legendary A.R. Rahman and cinematography by Mahesh Muthusamy. The film also has Hollywood stunt choreographer Yanick Ben on board to design the action sequences. The film’s art direction is done by Umesh J Kumar and editing by Pradeep E Raghav. The film’s executive producer is K. Ashwin and creative producer is K.R. Prabhu.

Genie will be a pan-Indian film that will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. The film is expected to be a visual treat for the audience and a milestone in Jayam Ravi’s career.
