Exclusive – Why actor Karthi refused Sasikumar’s Kaari?

Actor Sasikumar starrer “Kaari” released last Friday opened up to mixed reviews, but many have appreciated the movie for its good efforts. The film is produced by S Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures and is directed by debutant Hemanth. During the pre-release event, actor Sasikumar mentioned that after this film’s success, he desires Hemanth to get an opportunity to direct Karthi for the same production house.

However, we hear interesting news that Hemanth had initially penned the script for Karthi. Although the actor liked the story, he was hesitant to work with a newcomer, after the flop of ‘Dev’. So he decided to go with PS Mithran in ‘Sardar’, which again is produced by the same production house.

Well, Sasikumar did his best and gave more life to his character. While the first half of this movie travels on an emotional line, the second hour totally belongs to heroism, which if, Karthi had essayed the character would have got more chance to perform well as a movie now.
