Nitham Oru Vaanam Movie Review
Nitham Oru Vaanam featuring Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Shivatmika, and Aparna Balamurali is hitting worldwide screens today. The film is directed by Ra. Karthi features a musical score by Gopi Sunder and a background score by Dharan.
Filmmaker Ra. Karthik brings up a feel-good movie that is crafted with the intention of entertaining audiences from all walks of life with positive vibes. He does excel in bringing up those elements in perfect proportion. It might take some time for the audience to settle down with the movie. Possibly, the initial moments in this movie with the loud version of Ashok Selvan might not get takers easily. However, as the story transits into the lives of those book-bound couples’ stories, we get drawn into their worlds. The portions involving Ashok Selvan and Aparna Balamurali are the greatest cherry-pick in this movie. The other characters played by Ashok Selvan don’t outperform indeed.
The film’s narrative traverses through the perspective of Arjun. This character played by Ashok Selvan looks a little unnatural. But when it comes to the characterization of Veera and Prabha, he does a neat job. Aparna Balamurali keeps shining throughout her portions. Azhagam Perumal is also good.
On the technical side, cinematography by Vidhu is very much appreciable. He has captured the scenic beauty across different regions of India in an elegant manner. The musical score by Gopi Sunder is just mediocre. Travel based movies always bank on cinematography and musical score. While the camera works are commendable, the songs fail to clasp our attention. However, Dharan has delivered a laudable musical work with the re-recording score.
Although, there are little moments that are sluggish and a few that don’t synch well with the audience with proper connection, the film’s finishing point deserves special mention that makes it a decent watch.
On the whole, Nitham Oru Vaanam is a decent attempt and can be watched for a pleasant experience.
