What’s your purpose to watch a film? If it’s merely entertainment that comes unpackaged with a simple threadbare plot and some causal performance, this is the one that you catch up for. Filmmaker Ezhil as he commenced his second innings has been clear that all that he intends is to make fun-filled riders rather than opting for more Family Dramas as before. Yes, he has been sweeping off with excellence and almost all his films have become box office hits including ‘Manam Kothi Paravai’, ‘Desingu Raja’ and ‘Vellaikaara Durai’. Now it’s his fourth outing titled ‘Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran’ starring Vishnu Vishal and Nikki Galrani in lead roles.
Penning down the synopsis itself could turn out to be a speculative task for you cannot cite them down in a narrative structure. It all starts somewhere and ends at a different destination, where the intentions of characters look ludicrous, but everything get eclipsed with laughter-riot episodes.

That’s the major highlight of what you could see and indeed, if you’re the one who belongs to the cohort we mentioned before, you would surely enjoy this show.
The film holds a loose plot, but the narration comes blended with lots and lots of humorous episodes that consistently gets you into the enjoyment mode. Especially the hilarious characterizations played by Soori, Ravi Mariah, Robot Shankar and final moments of cameo by Naan Kadavul Rajendran, they cause your ribs ached.
If you’re wondering why we aren’t saying anything about the lead actors – Vishnu Vishal and Nikki Galrani, it’s that they are just present there, but these supporting actors take their storming screen presence in keeping us engrossed.
Sorry! Nothing to analyse on the technical aspects, except the colourful DI works and editing between different episodes with good transitions is worthy of appreciations.
There’s nothing much left to analyze upon this film and the makers have been so clear that their main intention is to offer a fun filled entertainer and they make it happen.
The last 30 minutes of drama, where you can’t stop laughing continuously deserves special mention and that’s something we used to see in erstwhile Sundar C movies.
‘Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran’ is a film that you could watch if you aren’t concerned about neither the story nor the performances, but laughter is all that you need for next couple of hours.
