The Original Vanthiyadevan – Vijay can’t stop humming this song from PS-1

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 is all set for the worldwide theatrical release on September 30. The movie made in two different parts is releasing simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The long run dream of Mani Ratnam finally comes true as he wanted to ambitiously materialize this project. It is noteworthy that this magnum opus project was supposed to happen in 2010 with big names like Vikram, Vijay and Mahesh Babu playing the lead roles. Vijay was approached to play the Vanthiyadevan character, which is now played by Karthi. This morning, actor Sarath Kumar had hosted a press meet and during this meet mentioned that Vijay couldn’t stop humming the song ‘Ponni Nadhi’ on the sets of Varisu. It is worth mentioning that Vijay and Sarath Kumar are sharing the screen together in this movie.

Well, just imagine what if Vijay had appeared as Vanthiyadevan and the theater response from the fans for his screen presence.
