Amitabh Bachchan, born on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad, India, is a towering figure in the world of Hindi cinema. Often referred to as the ‘Shahenshah of Bollywood’, Bachchan has had a prolific career spanning over five decades, during which he has appeared in over 200 films.
His journey in the film industry began with a role as a voice narrator in the 1969 film ‘Bhuvan Shome’, and his breakout performance came in the early 1970s with movies like ‘Anand’, ‘Zanjeer’, and ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’. Bachchan’s commanding screen presence and versatile acting have earned him numerous accolades, including six National Film Awards and sixteen Filmfare Awards.
